News: Maya's #girltweet 's are back!

I'm re-introducing #girltweet 's !

I used to post #girltweet 's at 10pm every day for a long time.
I feel strongly about women being empowered and having healthy, uplifting conversations, especially since the stronger percentage of my interactions and following is men.
There's nothing wrong with that but I do want to get girls involved and not be like other girls can be - competition or bitchy or whatever other experiences you can sum up your interactions with girls, be that in real life or online.

There is enough bullying, negative self image and pressures to be a certain way for us girls nowadays  and I'd like to contribute to the opposite trend: Being kind, empathetic, supporting, to cry with you when you cry, lift you up when you're down and see the beautiful things and not focus on the negative.

Usually I find youtube advertising to be a nuisance and I hit the 'skip' button pretty quickly. Today I stopped and watched:

Let's be unstoppable! No more believing of the lies that limit us! I hope you - boys and girls alike (just to make it clear this is not an anti man discussion or feminist propaganda in any way) will join the discussions on twitter at 10pm for the next few days

News - More Gigs Announced

As I'm very excitedly waiting for my new releases to be announced, I'm already getting booked for more live gigs. This has been a top priority for me for 2015!

I'll be playing my first London gig and also have a few more festivals booked in before the season ends. I would LOVE for you to support me and come along. Tweet me if you do and I will come and say hi!

Click here for all the details:
Music is the passion that keeps my life alive, my mind excited and blood pumping through my veins! It keeps me up at night and turns my experiences into songs.

Over the last year, I have spent countless hours at the piano, with my head in my notebook writing lyrics, recording, arranging, producing...
... it's time to bring this all to the stage now, so I'd like to ask for your help.

If you know any venues looking to book artists, if you are a promoter or know one, you run a club/a music night yourself or have any other helpful contacts/ideas, I would love to hear from you. This can be a up to an hours set with a DJ doing all my tracks with live vocals or if it's a smaller, more intimate setting I also have a full acoustic set on the piano.

News - FOOTAGE - Maya Wolff live at Apulstock

What a great weekend it's been playing Apulstock

For once, the sun was out, it wasn't too cold and the vibes at Apulstock were fantastic.
DJ Ash Lomas and I had an amazing time performing our full set to a lovely crowd that was so responsive and showered us with compliments after. A big thank you to Alex Fryer who booked us and made this such a special event for everyone that went and especially those who it was catered for.

Enjoy the pics/videos:

I love every part of performing - getting ready, doing hair and make-up...

....the anticipation of travelling there (since our limo didn't show up :p )

...hanging out before the show getting a feel for the crowd....and then I just feel at home on stage....

THANK YOU APULSTOCK

News - Out Now "eRadiate 012"

I've had the absolute pleasure of working with PrettyBoyAcid over the last year.
He first connected with me over my single Pay Off and it inspired him to start his Podcast "eRadiate", which I was featured on and interviewed by him on his first episode.

A year later and having signed our first collaboration "Hot&Cold" to 6N7 Music, which will be out in the next few months (watch out for a release date), he asked me back onto his first year anniversary Podcast!

Enjoy the music, it's full of great summer gems and count how many times I manage to say "exciting" (just...life's exciting right!? :p )

Listen, share, RT, like eRadiate 012 here: https://www.mixcloud.com/prettyboyacid/eradiate-012-with-special-guest-maya-wolff-1-year/

Lots of love to all my Wolfferines,

The shocking fact about Juicy Water(tm)

As I'm making my way to Berlin on another delayed flight with easyjet, I had a browse through the on-flight menu to find a refreshing beverage.
Usually a fully committed coffee lover, the Juicy Water, Lemons and Limes to be precise caught my attention: "Simply blended with pure squeezed juices (...). Freshly squeezed lemon and lime juice, spring water and some sugar to take the edge off - delicious."

I was intrigued and purchased one. However, once I looked at the ingredients I was beyond shocked.
The pure squeezed juice only amounts to 12% which in the 420ml bottle I got is 50.4ml.
The real shock factor though is the "some sugar to take the edge off bit".

Everyone who has a fair knowledge about nutrition and how bad sugar is especially when over indulged in, knows that 36,6g in a 420ml bottle is a huge amount of sugar especially for a product that advertises itself as a "juice drink with "pure squeezed juices and spring water".

There is a big "and a ton of sugar" missing out of this equation.

The sugar amounts to the missing 8% (80% water, 12% juice) of the drink, only 3% less than the actual juice.
Being a healthy person and not drinking fizzy drinks, my heart started racing after consuming about half the bottle, so I stopped (it's still racing like crazy now).

Our consumption of sugar shouldn't be more than 50g a day (for women, 70g for men)*, so drinking a small bottle of this supposedly refreshing drink makes up for about 73%of that daily intake (over 50% for men) - no wonder my pulse is going crazy!

I guess the lesson learnt is this: A healthy looking label with healthy sounding advertisement is not always a healthy choice and anything that even mentions sugar, before having seen the actual bottle, I won't purchase ever again.
The second lesson learnt - stick with good old coffee!
And when I can make it myself, I stick to squeezing lemons myself and pouring hot water on it without taking the edge off! That makes me feel less crazy! (It's been 2hrs now since drinking this and I still feel like my heart is racing!).

Check what you put in your body as it's the only place you can live in and make good choices!

Would love to hear your experiences with this product or similar products!
